Zapier + ChatGPT workflow for ecommerce abandoned carts
I run a small Shopify store and want Zapier to call ChatGPT to generate personalized cart-recovery emails. Need guidance on payload size, template variables, and testing strategies.

In Zapier→ChatGPT calls, keep prompts minimal: send only {{first_name}}, a summarized cart (3–5 items: name, qty, price), {{discount_code}}, and last-action timestamp. Truncate full product descriptions and keep the prompt ≲1,000 tokens. Use template vars: {{first_name}}, {{cart_items_summary}}, {{discount_code}}, {{abandoned_at}}, {{store_name}}. Test by running ~100 staged zaps, QA a sample of outputs, A/B subject lines/CTAs, and hold back a control group to measure lift.
